Control Systems Programmer
We are seeking a qualified professional for the position of Control Systems Programmer in our Head Office in Toronto. You will have audio, video and control systems programming experience and will support the Toronto, Canada office to deliver exciting projects from beginning to end in a team environment. Your role will see you working with the Toronto, Ottawa, New York and Vancouver teams.
Qualifications
* Strong technical problem solving skills and teambuilding abilities
* A knowledge of: video projection and display systems; Digital Audio Processing Systems; AV control systems and IP networking
* Good understanding of control systems programming and related environments
(knowledge of Crestron: VTPro-E, SIMPL Windows, some SIMPL+
Audio System Programming: MediaMatrix, BSS Soundweb, BiAmp Systems
Windows Application Programming: .NET and VBA an asset)
* Great interpersonal skills, self-motivated, capable of accepting responsibility, and willing to undertake team mentorship
* Fluency in written and spoken English
* Business-like dress and comportment
* Able and willing to travel
* Able and willing to do work on construction sites (involving catwalks, ladders, stairs, hardhat, construction boots, dusty conditions, etc)
* Available to work extended hours when required
* No immigration, police or criminal record issues that would prevent obtaining security clearance in Canada or entry into the United States or other countries
Education
* Certification from a college or university, minimum three-year technology program, B average or better, OR equivalent work experience
* Industry related certifications and designations
Work Experience
* Minimum of 4 years in technology environment
* Minimum of 4 years design/installation experience in an audio visual context
Intermediate Designer
The company is looking for a designer (design engineer) with experience in Audio, Video and/or Audio-Visual systems. You will need to have substantial design experience and have delivered a project from beginning to end, including preparation of drawings, specifications and supporting documentation, and review and system testing at client sites. Your role will see you working closely with the project manager but you will also need to be able to work as a part of a team in the downtown Toronto office.
Qualifications
* A demonstrated knowledge of: AV in general, video projection and display systems; AV control systems; networks; and sound systems
* Ability in control programming and asset (prefer knowledge of Creston, AMX, Peavey, etc.)
* Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, Word, etc.
* Fluency in written and spoken English
* Business-like dress and comportment
* Able and willing to travel
* Able and willing to do construction site reviews (involving catwalks, ladders, stairs, hardhat, construction boots, dusty conditions, etc)
* Available to work extended hours when required
* Canadian citizenship; no immigration, police or criminal record issues that would prevent obtaining security clearance in Canada or entry into the United States or other countries
Education
* Certification from a recognized institution, B average or better; Submit copy of diploma and final marks with application. Applications without accompanying transcripts will not be considered.
Work Experience
* Minimum of ten years in a technology design or implementation environment
* Minimum of five years in an environment that required extensive use of written communications skills
