Director at Engineering Harmonics, Gary Tibshirani serves as project director for the firm’s larger assignments. His extensive experience in directing design teams and his understanding of the engineering aspects underlying successful system design allow his teams to develop innovative solutions to the challenges created by space, performance requirements, visual impact, and budget resources.
Gary’s business and technical knowledge helps facilitate communication between our clients’ representatives and the technical team members to ensure that projects run smoothly and profitably. His strength lies in assessing what is possible, and most importantly, what is appropriate.
Another strong suit is comprehensive risk management. As a project director, he drives for the best result, setting the bar high for both the client and the project team, and has demonstrated exemplary dispute resolution and negotiation skills on behalf of clients and the firm. He has helmed the continual growth of Engineering Harmonics, implementing a networking based marketing initiative in 2004 that has produced consistently excellent results.

His project management experience extends from digital audio teleconferencing initiatives for governments, corporations, telcos and distance education providers, to the design of large scale pro audio systems for sports venues. He has also specified and managed the procurement of purpose-built audio, audio-visual and video conferencing facilities serving corporate boardroom and training-centre requirements across Canada and abroad. He formulated many of our key strategies for tendering, including the two-part bid process and weighting system now widely used by many industries.

A recognized authority in the field of audio and video conferencing integration, Gary regularly organizes educational seminars for architects, interior designers and corporate planners on the fundamentals of systems design and project management. He has led a number of Lunch & Learn seminars for architects and planners, including A/V and V/T Design Issues For Boardroom (IFMA, 1999) and A/V and V/T Design and Project Management Issues For Boardrooms and Training Centres (Toronto, 1999-present).
